Your Perfect Fit Guide

Every TaniJay piece is handcrafted around your proportions. Follow this guide for a more confident custom fit each time you order.

Before You Begin

Measure With Confidence

These simple steps help you capture accurate measurements for the best custom fit.

Use a Soft Tape

Use flexible fabric measuring tape rather than a ruler or construction tape.

Stand Naturally

Relax your shoulders, breathe normally, and avoid holding your stomach in.

Keep It Level

Keep the tape parallel to the floor for every circumference measurement.

Do Not Add Ease

Send your true measurements. The correct fit allowance is added during construction.

Beach Ready

Swimwear

Select the style you are ordering and follow each instruction carefully.

Custom One Piece Fit

One Piece Measurements

3 measurements
  1. Bust Width: One Breast Only

Begin at the side of your rib cage below your armpit. Measure across the fullest part of one breast and stop at the center of your chest.

Why one breast? Each bust panel covers one breast at a time. This determines the exact panel width.
  2. Collarbone to Navel

Place the tape at the center of your collarbone and measure straight down to your navel.

  3. Navel to Upper Bottom Crease

Begin below your navel. Run the tape snugly between your legs and upward along the back until your bottom crease ends.

Important Fit Detail Follow the path where the garment will sit. A loose measurement can make the finished piece too long.

One Perfect Measurement

Headwear

Use this method for headbands, beanies, ski masks, sun hats, and bucket hats.

Find the Widest Point

Wrap the tape around your forehead and just above your ears.

Keep It Comfortable

The tape should rest smoothly without pressing into your skin.

Record in Inches

Record the exact number where the tape meets without rounding.

Effortless Coverage

Cover Ups

Long sleeve, short sleeve, and sleeveless styles use the same core measurements.

Your Essential Measurements

  1. Arm Length

Measure from your shoulder to your wrist or preferred sleeve length.

  2. Shoulder to Hem

Measure from your shoulder down to your preferred cover up length.

  3. Full Chest or Bust

Measure around the fullest part of your chest while keeping the tape level.

  4. Preferred Fit

Choose a close, standard, or relaxed fit.

Measure Twice Before Submitting

A second measurement helps catch tape placement errors before your order is made.
